Preface

Students can use copyrighted material without permission or paying fees by applying the user's right of fair use. However, applying fair use requires a reasoning process that involves critical thinking. Additionally, using copyrighted material and making a fair use claim for anything created for this class requires documenting all fair use claims.

Documenting fair use includes addressing the questions from the Fair Use Tool, found in Copyright Part V: Applying Best Practices of Fair Use, as well as attributing all sources using an MLA style works cited list. These additional requirements must be included in the blog post presenting the work.
